H.R.3527 To extend for two months the authorities of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation.

 

The OPIC is a Federal corporation created in 1961 as part of the Foreign Assistance Act. The corporation aids investment overseas by US businesses with various financial mechanism and political and marketing assistance.

 

OPIC is scheduled to be reauthorized on September 30th this year but legislative schedule will not allow it to be addressed until later. This bill extends the programs authority until November 30, 2007.
