Presidential Determination 2007-31 Emergency Fund drawdown to support assistance to conflict victims in Iraq, Lebanon and Sri Lanka.
Resting on the authority granted him in the Migration and Refugee Assistance Act of 1962, the President determines that it is in the national interest to furnish assistance to meet the unexpected and urgent refugee and migration needs of people in Iraq, Lebanon and Sri Lanka. The contribution will include funds to international, governmental and nongovernmental organizations and payment of administrative expenses of the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration at State.
The amount may not exceed $24 million and is a drawdown, an amount earmarked from existing resources.
