Executive Order 13444 extending privileges and immunities to the African Union Mission to the US.
The African Union is akin to an African UN. It has a military and the president, two years back, drew down $10 million for transportation and other military needs to get the AU forces to Darfur as a peace keeping force.
This Executive Order extends privileges and immunities enjoyed by diplomatic missions to the AU Mission and its members in the US.
