H.R.539 To designate certain National Forest System land in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico as components of the National Wilderness Preservation System.
BRIEF
In Puerto Rico there is the Caribbean national Forest/Luquillo Experimental Forest and within that is the El Toro Wilderness. The bill would include El Toro in the National Wilderness Preservation System.
The bill preserves the authority to install hydrologic, meteorological, climatological and atmospheric data collection and remote transmission facilities for scientific research.
The Caribbean National Forest includes 10,000 acres
