H.R.3421 To reauthorize the United States Grain Standards Act, to facilitate the official inspection at export port locations of grain required or authorized to be inspected under such Act, and for other purposes.
BRIEF
Grain ready for export must be inspected, weighed and the process must be supervised by the US Department of Agriculture. The bill would authorize the Secretary of Agriculture to allow a private individual or private entity or a State agency to perform the functions. The responsibility for inspections remains with the Secretary.
