H.R.830 To authorize the exchange of certain lands in Denali National Park in the State of Alaska.

 

The bill authorizes an exchange of land between US land in Denali National Park, AK and the Alaska Railroad so that the Railroad can use the land to turn trains around.

 

The amounts of land are to be equal in acreage, not to exceed 25 acres and all interests will be exchanged.

 

The Alaska Railroad will pay the costs of any land exchange including the cost of compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, the cost of land surveys and other reasonable costs to accomplish the exchange. The Railroad lands to be exchanged are next to Denali and will become part of the National Park.
