H.R.523 To require the Secretary of the Interior to convey certain public land located wholly or partially within the boundaries of the Wells Hydroelectric Project of Public Utility District No. 1 of Douglas County, Washington, to the utility district.

 

The Secretary of Interior is directed to convey to the Public Utility District in Douglas County, WA, public land managed by the Bureau of Land Management. The land will be conveyed at the appraised value with all interest of the US.

 

Upon conveyance, all forms of entry, appropriation, or disposal, location, entry and patenting under the mining laws, the operation of the mineral and geothermal leasing laws enjoyed by the US are withdrawn.
