H.R.3896 To temporarily suspend, for communities affected by Hurricane Katrina, certain requirements under the community development block grant program.

                                                                                         

BRIEF

   The Secretary of Housing and Urban Development would be authorizes to suspend caps on community development block grants and waive or find a suitable alternative to public hearings for communities directly affected by Hurricane Katrina. The bill would also apply to communities that were not directly affected by were significantly affected by the storm.
