H.R.30  To amend the Reclamation Wastewater and Groundwater Study and Facilities Act to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to participate in the Eastern Municipal Water District Recycled Water System Pressurization and Expansion Project.

 

Previous law is amended to authorize participation between the Secretary of Interior and a California water district to design, plan and build facilities to recycle used water.

 

The Eastern Municipal Water District in California would be provided with a 25% federal share to build the facility that will establish operational pressure zones to be used to provide recycled water throughout the District.

 

Funds may not be used for operation or maintenance of the project.

Vote: Passed House by voice vote May 7, 2007

Cost to the taxpayers: $12 million is authorized.
