S.743 A bill to amend title 36, United States Code, to modify the individuals eligible for associate membership in the Military Order of the Purple Heart of the United States of America, Incorporated.

 

The Purple Heart is more than a medal recognizing valor and injury in the face of war but is an Order in which the recipients of the medal are included. The bill expands who is eligible for an associate membership in the Order to include with parents, spouses and siblings of the awardee.
