H.R.838 To provide for the conveyance of the Bureau of Land Management parcels known as the White Acre and Gambel Oak properties and related real property to Park City, Utah, and for other purposes.
The Secretary of Interior is authorized and directed to convey all right, title and interest of the US in two parcels of real property in Park City, Utah that are currently managed by the Bureau of Land Management.
The parcels are designated as parcel 8 (White Acres) and parcel 16 (Gambel Oak). The titles are restricted to provide for maintaining the land as open space and used solely by the public for recreation or purposes consistent with open space. Maintenance and recreational structures and facilities consistent with open space are allowed.
Park City is required to pay Interior “an amount consistent with conveyances to governmental entities for recreational purposes under the Act of June 14, 1926
Other land in Park City, Parcels 17 and 18 are to be offered at auction or competitive bidding. Price must be fair market value.
Funds from the sale will pay for BLM expenses including surveys, appraisals and federal law compliance and environmental restoration.
