H.R.122 To amend the Reclamation Wastewater and Groundwater Study and Facilities Act to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to participate in the Inland Empire regional recycling project and in the Cucamonga Valley Water District recycling project.
Two California water districts, the Inland Empire Utility and the Cucamonga Valley Water District may benefit from this bill that directs the Secretary of Interior to participate in water use projects now ready to move forward.
The Inland Empire project aims at regional water recycling with a Federal share limited to 25%. Authorized in this bill is $20 million for the project. No funds can be used for operation and maintenance.
The Cucamonga Valley project involves design, planning and construction of satellite recycling plants in Rancho Cucamonga to reclaim and recycle approximately 2 million gallons per day of domestic wastewater. The Federal share may not exceed 25% and funds may not be used for operations and maintenance. Authorized is $10 million
