H.R.1129 To provide for the construction, operation, and maintenance of an arterial road in St. Louis County, Missouri.
HR 1129 authorizes a connector road in St., Louis City and County, MO and sets some provisions for operating and maintaining the road.
The authorization affects arterial road 1151 that is deed-restricted property… “approximately 0.4 acres and 540 lineal feet designated as a FEMA route”. The road was established as the “Lemay Connector Road for Long-Term Recovery, Recreational Enhancements, & Community & Economic Development.” (June 1, 2006)
St. Louis County must ensure that the project is constructed, operated and maintained in such a manner that would not cause any future flood damage that would not have occurred without the project. The County must agree to restrict a nearby piece of property of equal or greater size to be maintained for open space, recreation or wetland management.
The US Government will not be liable for future flood damage if caused by the project. The property is not eligible for any future disaster assistance from any Federal source.
Sponsor: Rep. Russ Carnahan (D-MO-3rd) Vote: Passed House by voice vote February 27, 2007. Cost to the taxpayers: The cost of the project will not be born by the Federal Government. Earmark Certification: Not applicable to this bill. ## All Rights Reserved. © 2007 TheWeekInCongress.com(TM) No reproduction, language translation or distribution without written permission from TheWeekInCongress.com.(TM)
