H.R.934 To convey certain submerged lands to the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands in order to give that territory the same benefits in its submerged lands as Guam, the Virgin Islands, and American Samoa have in their submerged lands.
As was provided for Guam, the US Virgin Islands, and American Samoa, the bill conveys to the government of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands submerged lands surrounding the Islands out three geographical miles from the coastlines. The conveyance is subject to valid existing rights.
The lands would be permanently or periodically covered by tidal waters up to but not above the mean high tide line and then seaward for three miles as modified before, on of after enactment by accretion, erosion, or reliction or in an artificially made, filled in, or reclaimed lands that were formerly permanently or periodically covered by the mean high tide water.
