H.R.1275 To direct the exchange of certain land in Grand, San Juan, and Uintah Counties, Utah, and for other purposes.
The states that if Utah offers to convey to the US title to some no federal land, the Secretary of Interior will accept the offer and, on receipt of all right, title and interest of the State in and to the land, convey to the State all right, title and interest of the US in and to some federal land.
The lands are in Grand San Juan, and Uintah Counties, Utah.
The US and Utah will have a survey and appraisal done. If the value of the State land is less than the US land, or the reverse, adjustments will be made to even the value of the exchange. The deal includes a 1,000-foot wide scenic easement and a 200-foot wide road of right-of-way that was previously granted to the National Park Service for the Dinosaur National Monument.
Mineral rights and grazing rights will continue as current contracts allow. Any hazardous materials will be mitigated and paid for by the party responsible for the material being there.
