H.R.1172 To direct the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to include on the Internet website of the Department of Veterans Affairs a list of organizations that provide scholarships to veterans and their survivors.
The VA Secretary is directed to include on the VA website a list of organizations that provide scholarships to veterans and their survivors including links to those organization’s websites.
The information must include the statement that it is not an all-inclusive list of scholarships available and that the Secretary has not verified the information made available and does not endorse any offer made.
The bill notes that the number of degree-granting institutions and non-degree training schools has significantly increased since WWII to total a combined 6,536 institutions.
