H.R.1129 To authorize the Secretary of the Interior to provide an annual grant to facilitate an iron working training program for Native Americans.
The Secretary of Interior is directed to provide an annual grant to an eligible entity that will provide an iron working training program for federally recognized Indian tribe members. The members will be trained in iron working skills and the program will provide job placement upon completion.
The Secretary may make the grant to the extent that funds are available.
The program must provide classroom and on-the-job training.
An entity would be eligible if it has proven experience in providing successful iron working training to Native Americans and has the facilities necessary to carry out such a program with the grant provided.
