Presidential Notice – Continuation of the national emergency with respect to the Western Balkans
Referring to the 2001 Executive Order 13219 that declared a national emergency with respect to the Western Balkans the President opts to continue that EO. That EO and this Notification is supported by the conclusion that actions of persons threatening the peace and international stabilization efforts in the Western Balkans continues to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the US.
The EO is extended for another year.
