Presidential Determination No. 2007-19 of May 10, 2007--Unexpected 

Urgent Refugee and Migration Needs Related to Somalia, Sudan, Chad, 

Other Parts of Africa, and the West Bank and Gaza.

The President authorizes $29.5 million from the US Emergency Refugee and Migration 

Assistance Fund to meet unexpected and urgent refugee and migration needs. The distribution 

of the funds include international, governmental and non-governmental organizations and 

payment of administrative expenses of the Bureau of Populations, Refugees and Migration at 

the State Department. The funds will be spent to address humanitarian needs in Somalia, Sudan 

and Chad, breaks in the food pipeline for refugees in Africa and in the West Bank and Gaza.
