H.R.2587 Protecting Jobs from Government Interference Act

 

The bill amends the National Labor Relations Act by adding that the NLR Board shall have no power to:

  • order an employer to restore or reinstate any work, product, production line, or equipment;

  • to rescind any relocation, transfer, subcontracting, outsourcing, or other change regarding the location, entity, or persons who shall be engaged in production or other business operations; or

  • to require any employer to make an initial or additional investment at a particular plant, facility, or location.

 

The bill requirement would apply to any complaint for which a final adjudication by the Board has not yet been made.

Cost to the taxpayers: No discernible cost

Pay-as-you-go requirements: Enacting H.R. 2587 would not affect federal spending or revenues; therefore, pay-as-you-go procedures do not apply.

Regulatory impact:  H.R. 2587 contains no intergovernmental or private-sector mandates as defined in the

Unfunded Mandates Reform Act.
