S.1701 A bill to provide for the extension of transitional medical assistance (TMA) and the abstinence education program through the end of fiscal year 2007, and for other purposes.

 

The bill extends funding for the abstinence education program provided in the tax Relief and Health care Act of 2006 (Public Law 109-432). The provision expired on June 30, 2007 and this bill extends the program until September 30, 2007.

 

The bill also sunsets the limited continuous enrollment period for some beneficiaries under the Medicare Advantage program. The enrollment period would end on July 31, 2007. Medicare Advantage fund limits would be reset to $1.6 billion in 2012 and $1.79 billion in 2013.
