Presidential Determination 2007-27 waiver of limitation on obligation and expenditure of $642.5 million in FY 2007 economic support funds for Iraq.

Under a provision just passed in HR 2206, the US Troop Readiness, Veteran’s Care, Katrina Recovery and Iraq accountability Act, commonly know as the President’s Iraq supplemental, the President must certify to Congress that the Government of Iraq is making progress on several benchmarks before economic support funds provided in that Act can be released.

The President, in this Determination, is certifying that progress and so is releasing the $642.2 million.
