HR 4363 to facilitate self-help housing homeownership opportunities.

 

BRIEF

   The bill would make a technical correction to the Housing Opportunity Program Extension Act of 1996 to allow families who receive homes from groups such as Habitat for Humanity and the Housing Assistance Council to fulfill the ‘sweat equity’ requirement by not only helping to build their own homes, but also by helping to build other self-help homes in the community.
