S.188 A bill to revise the short title of the Fannie Lou Hamer, Rosa Parks, and Coretta Scott King Voting Rights Act Reauthorization and Amendments Act of 2006.

 

The 109th Congress passed the Fannie Lou Hamer, Rosa Parks and Coretta Scott King Voting Rights Act Reauthorization. The three namesakes are civil rights icons.

 

This bill adds to the three names thereby changing the bill title. The new namesakes are Cesar E. Chavez, Barbara C.  Jordan and William C. Velasquez.
