H.R.482 To direct the Secretary of the Interior to transfer ownership of the American River Pump Station Project, and for other purposes.
The American River Pump station is located in Auburn, CA and includes a pumping plant, associate facilities and easements for permanent operation of the facilities.
The station is owned by the US government and will be transferred to the Placer County Water Agency. The transfer fully satisfies the US obligation under contract to provide a water supply to the Placer County Water Agency.
Prior to transfer the US must comply with the EPA Act of 1969, the Endangered Species Act of 1973 and other applicable laws. The US is relieved of an liability for damages arising.
