S.3821 A bill to authorize certain athletes to be admitted temporarily into the United States to compete or perform in an athletic league, competition, or performance.
The bill amends immigration law to allow for more nonimmigrant P-1 visas for athletes and entertainers. Included are professional athletes, a coach, or other part of a team located in America who is also a member of some amateur foreign leagues or associations from which a significant number of individuals are drafted by major sports leagues and a professional or amateur athlete who performs individually or in a group in theatrical ice skating production traveling and performing in the US.
