H.R.1090 To designate a Forest Service trail at Waldo Lake in the Willamette National Forest in the State of Oregon as a national recreation trail in honor of Jim Weaver, a former Member of the House of Representatives.

                                                                                         

BRIEF

The bill would name a US Forest Service trail (Trail # 3590) in the Williametter National Forest after Jim Weaver, a former US House of Representatives Member. The 20 mile trail begins and ends at the North Waldo Campground after encircling Waldo Lake. The trail would be named the “Jim Loop Trail”.

 

Congressman James Howard Weaver served in the House of Representatives from the 94th Congress through the 99th Congress. He was a former subcommittee chairman of the Committee on Resources and active in conservation issues
