BRIEF
The American Legion Post in Pahrump, Nevada, built by veterans 60 years ago, is running out of space and the closest building available to house them is 60 miles away in Las Vegas.
The bill authorizes conveyance of 4.5 acres of Federal land in Pahrump, Nevada to the American Legion Edward H. McDaniel Post No 22 at no cost. If the Post doesn’t use the land for an American Legion Post, related activities and for community activities the title of the land reverts to the US.
The land is described as ‘an odd, triangular tract of land bounded on 2 sides by private land and cut off from other public land by a major highway.’
