Delay Passage

   The President and Congress have decided to continue to fund the global war on terror efforts in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere through this off-budget, deficit-increasing bill rather than include the spending in on-budget appropriations. The Senate took up the issue intending to raise the $92 billion package to $106.5 billion. Full story...HR 4939

This industrious bill would write into law existing sanctions imposed on Iran until such a time as the US president certifies that Iran “has permanently and verifiably dismantled its weapons of mass destruction programs and has committed to combating the proliferation of such weapons”.
